I heard a great tip at a networking meeting this morning:

A Gossip is someone who talks about other people.

A Bore is someone who talks about himself.

A Great Conversationalist is someone who talks about you.

So when you’re out networking, give your attention to the person you’re talking with. Find out what their needs are and what they are looking for. Then they will be more likely to help you out with your needs.
